Hootenanny’s at the Yard
BuildWise saw the potential in this 1870s home across from the old Glynn County Courthouse, which had suffered from poor commercial renovations and a lack of maintenance. BuildWise acquired the property in 2023, and working alongside talented pitmaster Judd Foster and his industrious wife Kate, converted the property into Hootenanny’s BBQ at the Yard.
With a lot of elbow grease from the BuildWise team and its local construction crews, in a few short months, BuildWise was able to bring this family-friendly craft BBQ spot, featuring a gorgeous backyard, cute front porch, indoor seating and a music venue, to historic downtown Brunswick.
Silver Bluff Brewing Co.
A catalytic project for Downtown Brunswick, BuildWise assisted Silver Bluff Brewing Company owners Chris and Ally Moline, Kevin Coyle, and Jeff Coyle with planning, permitting, identification of critical design and construction team members, and trouble-shooting during construction.
Glenna’s Restaurant

BuildWise purchased this charming historic home, with five original fireplaces, that had been converted into lawyers’ offices. With Chef Nikolaus Shrum, BuildWise is transforming beautiful light-filled space into a neighborhood breakfast/brunch spot with a focus on locally grown, seasonal ingredients, and a casual vibe.

This downtown building owned by BuildWise has had a storied history. Built in the 1890s, it features original boarding house rooms upstairs, and great commercial space on the lower level. BuildWise will be redeveloping the historic boarding house space into five apartments and is working on commercial concepts for the ground level with the potential tenant/ purchaser.
