welcome to the block.

BuildWise is creating neighborhoods. With an emphasis on revitalizing Norwich Street, BuildWise is committed to providing much-needed quality housing downtown for our workforce and their families.

BuildWise would be happy to introduce you to our existing opportunities or discuss partnering on a residential development project.  We look forward to bringing more residents into our thriving community.

803 G Street

BuildWise brought this beautiful 1890s Folk Victorian back to its residential roots after decades of commercial use as lawyers’ offices, and most recently a church. BuildWise respected its existing architecture, inside and out, and cleverly added a carriage house, with a full studio apartment upstairs, currently used as BuildWise’s office. This project was nominated by the City of Brunswick for a Historic Preservation Award.

Central Flats

Coming 2024

BuildWise purchased this 1940s building, which was the original site of Central Hardware, a Norwich Street institution. It was the home of Singleton’s Furniture for 40 years, and most recently the Georgia Department of Probation. BuildWise is converting this solid, well built structure into nine one-bedroom residential apartments, each with its own storage space for bikes, skateboards and strollers. BuildWise activated the building in the meanwhile with a beautiful Kevin Bongang mural. BuildWise looks forward to bringing these apartments on line.

Multi-Family Conversions and Infill

BuildWise has acquired and is developing a variety of multi-family projects in downtown Brunswick, focusing on single family residences that have been used as commercial offices for decades. BuildWise recently converted two buildings into four rental apartments, is developing another property as a single family home with “lockout” ADU, and is exploring new construction of a sixplex, as well as larger multi-family apartment building on infill lots.
